MVP development lab

MVP development services from written spec to first release

A fixed-scope sprint that turns a clear idea into a working first release, typically in about 30 to 45 days, with payment by milestone.

  • Written spec and feature cut list
  • Fixed-scope sprint, paid by milestone
  • You own the code

What should an MVP include?

A minimum viable product is the smallest version of your product that tests one core promise with real users. It is not a rough draft of everything. The hard part is deciding what to leave out, and that is where we start.

In the scoping conversation we separate what the first release must do from what can wait. The result is a feature cut list: a short list for release one and a longer list for later. Smaller scope means a faster launch and a lower cost, and it gets you real feedback sooner.

How does the MVP development lab work?

  1. You message us on WhatsApp or Telegram with the idea, the users and the timeline.
  2. We hold a scoping conversation and write a spec with screens, data, integrations and the cut list.
  3. You receive a written price range and timeline. Work starts after you agree.
  4. We build in a fixed-scope sprint, with a working build you can test during the sprint.
  5. We release to a staging site, then to production, and hand over the code and accounts.

The full delivery steps are on the process page.

What does the fixed-scope sprint cost?

The typical range is $9,500 to $18,500, for a defined core feature set delivered in about 30 to 45 days and paid by milestone. If your scope is larger than a single sprint, it usually moves to the custom product build, typically $25,000 to $65,000+ over about 8 to 16 weeks.

These are typical ranges only. The price depends on scope, and the timeline depends on timely feedback from your side. A written quote follows the scoping conversation. See pricing.

  • The source code in a repository you own
  • A deployed production environment and a staging environment
  • Accounts for hosting, domain and services in your name
  • Short setup and handover notes
  • A ranked list of what to build next

Because you own everything, you can continue with us, hire your own developers or move to a dedicated developer pod. We sign an NDA on request.

What are the limits of an MVP?

An MVP lets you test an idea with real users. It does not prove that a market exists, and we cannot promise users, revenue or investor interest. Timelines assume a clear scope, quick answers to our questions and no large changes mid-sprint. Third-party integrations and app store review can add time we do not control.

If something does not fit the sprint, we say so early and offer a smaller scope or a later release.

Questions about custom software builders in United States

How long does MVP development take?

Typically about 30 to 45 days for a fixed-scope sprint, from the day the spec is agreed. The timeline depends on scope and on how quickly you can review builds and answer questions. We confirm a timeline in the written quote and flag anything that could stretch it.

What if I only have an idea and no spec?

That is common. The scoping conversation turns the idea into a written spec: who the users are, what the first release does, which screens and data it needs and what waits for later. You review it, change it and approve it before any build work starts.

What happens if I want to change the scope mid-sprint?

Small adjustments are normal and we handle them inside the sprint where we can. Larger changes are discussed first, and we tell you what they do to timeline and price in writing. Nothing is added without your agreement, and you decide whether it goes in now or in a later release.

Can the MVP grow into a full product?

That is the aim. We choose a stack and structure that can carry later features, and we note the shortcuts taken for speed. After launch, you can continue with a custom product build or a dedicated pod. For areas like SaaS billing, see SaaS and cloud apps.

How is payment handled?

By milestone, tied to the written scope. Each milestone describes what you will be able to see or test when it is complete. The exact schedule is in your written quote, so you know what is due and when before you agree to start.
