Pricing and engagement

Custom software development pricing and engagement models

Three typical engagement models with price ranges. Every project gets a written quote after scoping, and the final price depends on scope.

  • Typical ranges, not fixed prices
  • Paid by milestone
  • Written quote after scoping

What are the three typical engagement models?

Most projects fit one of these. The ranges are typical and depend on scope.

  • Fixed-scope MVP sprint: $9,500 to $18,500. A defined core feature set delivered in about 30 to 45 days, paid by milestone. See the MVP development lab.
  • Custom product build: $25,000 to $65,000+. A multi-platform product built over about 8 to 16 weeks in staged sprints, with an architecture and security review. See full-stack web and mobile apps.
  • Dedicated pod: $8,500 to $14,000 per month. A small senior team on a monthly retainer, about 160 hours of senior engineering output, working in your tools. See dedicated developer pods.

What changes the price?

Two projects with the same name can differ a lot in cost. These are the usual drivers:

  • The number of platforms, such as web, iOS, Android or Telegram.
  • Custom logic, such as ledgers, commission rules or matching engines.
  • Integrations with payment providers, APIs and other systems.
  • Existing code that needs reading, fixing or modernizing.
  • Design depth, security review and any compliance-related features.
  • Your timeline and how quickly you can give feedback.

Third-party costs such as hosting, app store fees, API usage and blockchain network fees are paid to those providers and are separate from our price.

How does a written quote work?

  1. You message us on WhatsApp or Telegram with the product, the users and your timeline.
  2. We hold a scoping conversation and ask what we need to know.
  3. We send a written scope, an architecture outline, a timeline and a price range for that scope.
  4. You review it, ask questions and agree changes. Nothing starts until you accept.

We split the scope into milestones, each with a deliverable you can check. You pay as each milestone is delivered, not the full amount up front. If scope changes mid-project, we write the change down and agree its price before we build it.

What are the honest limits?

Prices and timelines here are typical, not promises. They assume a clear scope and timely feedback. We cannot promise revenue, users, rankings or approval by a store or regulator, and a security review reduces risk but cannot remove it. In regulated areas the client is responsible for licences and compliance. The client owns the code and accounts it pays for.

  • Dedicated pods
  • Four practice areas
  • Client owns the code

How it works

1

Message us on WhatsApp or Telegram

Describe the product, the users and your timeline.

2

We scope and quote

You get a plan, an architecture outline and a written price range.

3

We build in sprints

You see working software each sprint and launch with a tested release.

Questions about custom software builders in United States

Is the price fixed?

The ranges are typical, and your quote is written for your scope. Once you accept a written scope, the milestones and their prices are agreed in advance. If you add features later, we price the change in writing before any work on it starts.

When do I pay?

You pay by milestone, as each deliverable is completed and you can check it. Dedicated pods are billed monthly under the retainer. The payment schedule is written into the quote, so you know the amounts and the dates before you commit to anything.

Which model should I choose?

Choose a fixed-scope sprint when you know the core features and want a first release. Choose a product build for a larger, multi-platform product. Choose a pod when your roadmap is ongoing and changes often. We help you decide during scoping, and you can switch models later.

Do you charge for the scoping conversation?

We do not list a fee for the first scoping conversation. After it, you receive a written quote for your scope. If the project needs a longer discovery effort, we tell you that in the quote and price it as its own piece of work.

What if my budget is below these ranges?

Tell us your budget during scoping. Often the answer is a smaller first release with fewer features, which you can extend later. We will not stretch a scope to fit a number, and we will say plainly if the work you describe cannot be done for it.
